A cleansing hair treatment for removing excess oils and pollutants whilst locking in moisture, Leaving hair looking and feeling cleansed whilst feeling silky soft & looking visibly moisturised.

How to use

Start with freshly shampooed hair - Wash with your preferred FUL shampoo to remove surface dirt and open the cuticle slightly.

Towel-dry to damp - Gently squeeze excess water. Hair should be damp, not dripping. Too much water dilutes the mask.

Section hair - For long or thick hair, divide into 4 sections for even application.

Apply generously - Use walnut-sized amount for shoulder-length hair; more for long hair. Start at scalp and roots, work through mid-lengths to ends.

Massage into scalp (30-60 seconds) - Using fingertips, massage in circular motions. This helps charcoal contact all areas and stimulates blood flow.

Comb through - Use wide-tooth comb for even distribution and detangling.

Leave on 5-10 minutes - Five minutes for routine maintenance; ten for intensive treatment or heavy buildup.

Rinse thoroughly - Use lukewarm water for at least 60 seconds. Charcoal rinses clean completely. Rinse until water runs clear and hair feels squeaky.

Style as usual - No additional conditioner needed. Hair will air-dry lighter, blow-dry faster, and style more easily.

Pro tips

Leave on full 10 minutes for maximum purification. Focus on scalp and roots for volume boost. Apply directly to scalp and massage for scalp treatment. Use lukewarm water—hot causes frizz, cold seals cuticle for shine.

Castor Oil

Used for over 4,000 years, castor oil is remarkably effective for hair health. Rich in ricinoleic acid (90% of its composition), it penetrates deeply into the hair shaft, has anti-inflammatory properties that soothe irritated scalps, and provides antimicrobial benefits that reduce dandruff.

The thick, viscous texture makes it an excellent emollient that softens and smooths. It concentrates on mid-lengths and ends while charcoal works on roots. Castor oil forms a breathable protective coating that locks in moisture, prevents water loss, and shields against environmental damage. It adds natural shine and supports scalp health by improving circulation.

Activated Charcoal — The Deep Purifier

The star ingredient provides deep cleansing that regular shampoos can't achieve. Its ultra-porous structure traps and removes excess sebum, product buildup from silicones and styling polymers, environmental pollutants including PM2.5 particles and heavy metals, hard water deposits of calcium and magnesium, and chlorine from swimming pools.

The beauty of charcoal is that it cleanses without harsh stripping. Hair feels deeply clean but not squeaky or tangled—there's a softness that comes from removing only impurities. Many users report needing to wash less frequently after regular use as sebaceous glands recalibrate.

Glycerin — The Moisture Magnet

A humectant powerhouse used at optimal 3-5% concentration. Glycerin attracts water molecules from the air and deeper hair layers, creating optimal hydration. During the 5-10 minute treatment time, it draws moisture deep into each strand. By increasing hair's water content, glycerin makes strands more pliable, softer, and easier to detangle. It acts as a penetration enhancer, helping other beneficial ingredients absorb more effectively—essentially the delivery system for the mask's nourishing components.

Phytolastin Yeast Extract — The Strength Builder

Derived from yeast fermentation, this botanical extract is packed with proteins, vitamins, and minerals. It improves elasticity by up to 25% with regular use—healthy hair can stretch 30-50% when wet without breaking. Elasticity gives hair life, movement, and bounce. Rich in B-vitamins (especially biotin) and minerals, yeast extract provides comprehensive nutrition, creating optimal conditions for healthy hair growth by nourishing the scalp and reducing inflammation.

Who This Mask Is Perfect For

Oily Scalp + Dry Ends

The most common hair complaint. Charcoal absorbs excess scalp oil and rebalances sebum production, while castor oil and glycerin deeply condition lengths and ends. Over 4-6 weekly treatments, many report scalps producing less oil.

Scalp Concerns

If you experience itchiness, irritation, or discomfort, charcoal removes irritants while castor oil's anti-inflammatory properties soothe. Yeast extract provides nutrients supporting scalp health.

Hard Water Areas

Calcium and magnesium deposits create a film that makes hair rough and dull. Weekly charcoal treatments remove these minerals, restoring natural texture.

Swimmers

Chlorine strips colour, dries hair, and leaves chemical smell. Salt water also damages. Use immediately post-swim to remove chlorine and salt completely.

Urban Dwellers

City living exposes hair daily to particulate matter, exhaust, and pollutants. Charcoal specifically targets these environmental toxins, removing them completely.

Product Users and Heavy Stylers

Multiple styling products create invisible buildup that makes hair feel heavy, look dull, and resist styling. Weekly or bi-weekly charcoal treatments completely reset hair.
